April attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she received a BS in Communication Disorders afterwards, she continued onto the University of Georgia where she earned her M.Ed. in Speech Language Pathology.

April has experience in treating clients of all age groups, with a special interest in the pediatric population (birth-high school).  She has worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, public schools, Head Start, client homes, and daycares. She has provided therapy to individuals with autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, TBI, Velo-Cardio-Facial Syndrome, Pierre Robin Syndrome, cleft lip and palate, Dysphagia, Cochlear Implant, Hearing Impairment, Voice Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Reading Deficits, and a variety of other speech and language disorders.  She has worked with a variety of AAC devices.

She currently holds a North Carolina Speech Language Pathology license, she is a member of ASHA (American Speech-Language and Hearing Association) and has ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, 2015

April believes in providing research based therapy and developing treatment programs along with the client and family, to establish a program with optimum success.  April loves spending time with her new baby boy and 3 pet dogs.
