Amber earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, earning her Master’s of Occupational Therapy degree in 2015. During her graduate school career, she completed one of her level II fieldwork rotations in an outpatient pediatric clinic near Charlotte, North Carolina, where she developed a love for working with children. Amber then began her career working at an outpatient pediatric clinic in San Antonio, Texas, where she gained valuable experience working with children with sensory processing disorders, feeding disorders, developmental delays, fine and gross motor delays, ASD, ADD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and other non-specified delays.

Amber has experience working in a fully equipped sensory gym setting as well as providing services to children in their daycares. She has additional training and experience with executive functioning skills, sensory integration, primitive reflex integration, Masgutova Neuro-Sensory-Motor and Reflex Integration, Handwriting Without Tears, Visual-Vestibular Training, Wilbarger DPPT (brushing) program, Interactive Metronome, DIR/Floortime, Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training (BRMT), Astronaut Training, and NDT handling techniques. Amber also has additional training specializing in visual efficiency skills and visual information processing.

Amber enjoys working collaboratively with children and their families to reach their maximum potential. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband (Matt) and goldendoodle puppy (Rudy). She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and being at the beach.
